Говорят, что если у человека больше одного почтового ящика - это уже верный признак шизофрении. Наверняка то же применимо и к виртуальным ЖЖ-аккаунтам. Тем не менее, чтобы не смешивать технический инь и жизненный янь, решено завести отдельный жж-блог (" c0ureur") и выкладывать туда нетехнические (гуманитарные) вопросы, фотки, отчёты о поездках и инфу о танцах (в основном swing, возможно танго). Sitemap, или карта сайта - простой способ, позволяющий вебмастеру сообщить поисковой системе о тех страницах, которые нужно проиндексировать. Sitemap - это XML-файл, в котором перечислены URL-адреса, принадлежащие сайту, плюс некоторая дополнительная информация о каждом URL-адресе:
- дата последнего обновления
- как часто изменяется содержимое страницы по этому адресу
- “относительная” важность этой страницы по отношению к другим URL-адресам этого сайта)
Такая информация позволит поисковой системе лучше проиндексировать сайт.Формат Sitemap версии 0.90 доступен по условиям лицензии Attribution-ShareAlike Creative Commons License и уже используется такими компаниями какGoogle(http://google.com), Yahoo(http://search.yahoo.com) и Microsoft (http://search.msn.com).

Java сегодня становится OpenSource-продуктом

- The license is GLP v2 plus an Exception (you can link your non-GPL code to it)
- From Java SE: Hotspot, javac and JavaHelp will be released today
- JME will be released fully, including the test cases that form the JME compatibility kit
- JEE (glassfish) will be released under GPL also, besides the CDDL that it already is under
- In the near future other software will be announced
- Right now you’ll basically have a tarball of the source, and a read only subversion
- eventually they will use Mercurial for source control

Preview Tool - единственный законный способ узнать URL-адреса, на которые ведут отображаемые объявления; самостоятельно переходить по рекламным ссылкам запрещено правилами программы AdSense.
С помощью этого инструмента удобно фильтровать нецелевые объявления, но после изменениянастроек придётся подождать примерно 4 часа.

Open Source Architecture for Africa

are being shared under an open licence, ready to be reused or adapted, without licence fees.
We want to apply the success factors of Open Source Software to the intellectual wisdom of African architecture. Osafa is to be used by all stakeholders of construction projects in Africa, professionals and hobbyists, Africans and non-Africans, world changers and business people alike.

Problem Description
Every year, tens of thousands of elementary schools, maternity wards and similar one-story buildings are constructed in Africa. Most of these projects are realised using a trusted 1950s template (concrete walls, corrugated iron roof…), which suits the people who fund such buildings, but not necessarily those who use and have to live with them. This lack of innovation means that there is a great room for improvement to build
- cheaper
- with better interior climate (very important in hot countries)

But they still lag behind newspapers (30 percent).

Для простых смертных поисковиков rel=”nofollow” означает “ни в коем случае не ходить по этой ссылке”:

Shell over ICMP

Написанная на языке Python, soicmp демонстрирует возможность пересылки данных по сети посредством незагруженной полосы трафика (по протоколу ICMP пересылаются т.н. “ping”-запросы).
